B2BItem.com ("B2BItem", "we", "us") operates a global business-to-business marketplace connecting buyers with manufacturers, suppliers and exporters. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using B2BItem.com you agree to this policy.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — name, email address, password (stored encrypted), phone and job title when you register or claim an account.
• Company listing information — company name, address, country, contact details, products, certifications, images and other details you (or the original listing owner) provide for publication in the marketplace directory.
• Trade activity — buying requirements (RFQs), quotations, sample requests, messages and reviews you create on the platform.
• Contact messages — anything you send through our contact form.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through standard server logs and session cookies, used for security and to improve the service.

3. What is public

B2BItem is a public directory. Company profiles, product listings and public buying requirements are visible to anyone, including search engines. Your personal login email is not published on your public profile unless you choose to display it as a business contact. Private RFQs are visible only to the suppliers you target.

4. How we use your information

• To operate the marketplace — publishing listings, delivering RFQs and quotations, enabling messaging between members.
• To send transactional emails — registration confirmation, email verification, password reset, approval notices, and activity related to your trades.
• To send occasional service announcements to members. You can opt out of non-essential emails by contacting us.
• To review listings, prevent fraud and spam, and keep the platform safe.

5. Legacy listings

Part of our directory consists of company listings carried over from the previous version of B2BItem.com. If your company appears in our directory and you would like to claim, correct or remove the listing, contact us via the contact page with the company name and proof of ownership — we will act promptly.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only: (a) as part of the public marketplace content described above; (b) with service providers strictly needed to run the platform (hosting, email delivery); and (c) when required by law.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for login sessions and security (CSRF protection). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If analytics cookies are introduced, this policy will be updated.

8. Data retention & security

Account data is kept while your account is active. Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. If you delete your account, associated personal data is removed or anonymised within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

9. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time via the contact page. You can update most listing and profile information yourself after signing in.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email.
